The Williamson County web developer Kishore Tummala planned to go all out on a party celebrating the start of his new business. He bought space on a billboard in Brentwood to announce the opening, and planned to invite friends and colleagues. Instead, on Thursday morning he celebrated the launch of his business on a Zoom call with nearly 80 participants hosted by Williamson Inc. The chamber created a virtual background to mark the occasion. Friends, family and colleagues cheered and posted clapping emojis when he mimed cutting the ribbon on the virtual background. Nearly 80 people joined a Zoom call to celebrate the launch of a new web development business called Bundle N, founded by Kishore Tummala. The coronavirus outbreak in Williamson County scuttled Tummala’s plans for a party, but it’s not stopping him from starting a business, a web development company called Bundle N. As businesses move more of their work online, he felt like he had something to offer, and he didn’t want to wait. “There is an opportunity for us to help small businesses that will be struggling with all the economic impact,” Tummala said. “We thought this might be the right time. It’s not the right time in an economic perspective, but we should be able to help.” The company already has clients. He said he’s building two mobile apps and working on a home security project. He’s also planning to help the local brand of the National Alliance for Mental Illness with their IT needs. Tummala has been working on web development in Middle Tennessee for two decades. He held positions at the insurance...
UPDATE: I have created a repo for you to play around with that showcases most of the stuff covered in this article. I routinely build web applications that use Ethereum and I think I take for granted the amazing toolset that I use every day. Our ecosystem is growing rapidly and I think a lot of newcomers are feeling overwhelmed. Ethereum is an amazing technology, but it is also nascent and there simply hasn’t been enough time for expertise to sufficiently permeate. I want people to know that Ethereum development is actually very compatible with modern web developer workflows — it’s relatively easy to integrate Ethereum functionality into any web application, and you can start today .Because I fancy myself a champion of Ethereum on a mission to show mainstream developers the light, I have decided to put a bunch of scattered knowledge into one place (not very decentralized, I know). You will of course need to consult the proper documentation at each step, but my hope is that this article will show you how everything, more or less, fits together. If you’re ready to learn, please let me be your spirit guide. Come join the Ethereum ecosystem and help us conquer the world. Step 1: Get a blockchain There are lots of clients to choose from, but I suggest not yet worrying about geth vs parity vs pyethapp (the up and coming python client — represent!). For everyone who just wants a freaking blockchain so they can start building stuff (e.g. you), I suggest testrpc for all your development needs. Once you have it installed, you can start it...
Ah yes, CSS. Hardly a week passes without it being the topic of a heated online discussion. It’s too hard. It’s too simple. It’s unpredictable. It’s outdated. Peter Griffin struggles with blinds dot gif. I don’t know why CSS sparks so many different emotions in developers, but I have a hunch as to why it can sometimes seem illogical or frustrating: You need a certain mindset to write good CSS. Now, you probably need a mindset for coding in general, but the declarative nature of CSS makes it particularly difficult to grasp, especially if you think about it in terms of a “traditional” programming language. Other programming languages often work in controlled environments, like servers. They expect certain conditions to be true at all times, and can therefore be understood as concrete instructions as to how a program should execute. CSS on the other hand works in a place that can never be fully controlled, so it has to be flexible by default. It’s less about “programming the appearance” and more about translating a design into a set of rules that communicate the intent behind it. Leave enough room, and the browser will do the heavy lifting for you. For most people who write CSS professionally, the mindset just comes naturally after a while. Many developers have that “aha!” moment when things finally start to click. It’s not just about knowing all the technical details, it’s more about a general sense of the ideas behind the language. I tried to list some of these here. # Everything is a Rectangle This seems obvious, given that the box model is...
If you want to develop your mobile or web app, you will need a team that will create the product according to your vision and expectations. What’s more, I would state that you will even need a partner who will consult your plan and give you a new perspective. But how do you find this kind of partner? It is not easy and, the more money it costs, the more serious an impact it will have on your final app success. There is no such thing as a perfect recipe for choosing a software house. But, in this article, we will give you some essential tips that will help you to find answers to crucial questions, such as: If you are considering building your own internal team, instead of hiring an external one, first make sure that you are aware of the costs and time which you will have to invest. In this article, I am not focusing on this topic or which solution is better (for sure – it depends ;)). This article is a part of the series Mobile & Web App Development – 7 Stages You Need To Know which covers the following topics: 1. HOW CAN I FIND THE BEST COMPANIES IN ONE PLACE? – 8 platforms for B2B buying that it’s good to know For sure, it’s worth starting your search by asking your friends, family, and colleagues if they have any software house they can recommend. The second step, in our opinion, should be looking for a partner (or checking the ones someone recommends to you) on Clutch and other similar platforms. Below, you can find 8 platforms which aggregate information and reviews about companies offering software...

What if I told you that now a web developer can easily build mobile apps? All you need to know is some HTML , CSS , and JavaScript and you are good to go! No need to go through the pain of learning native languages like Java (for Android Apps) or Objective-C and Swift (for iOS Apps). It would be even more awesome if you could publish your apps without having to go through the rules and restrictions placed by Play Store and App Store! If you are a Mobile App Developer, you might have experienced the troubles of following the norms of App Store. The App store also has some very strict rules about when you can update your app or what that update can contain (App Store won’t let you publish the update if it changes the fundamental working of your App).In this post, we will find out about how building Progressive Web Apps lets you do all the things that I mentioned above, and more! ReactFoo Pune 2018 This is a companion post to Neeraj Singh’s talk about Progressive Web Apps, which he gave at ReactFoo Pune 2018 .ReactFoo is a developer conference organized by HasGeek .
